Geometric Friendship Card

Geometric Friendship Card

Hello! This week I’m here to show you a fun and different look for a friendship card. I’m using the trendy new Geometric Papers and Papier Tole for my card, as well as an old favorite, the Easy Scalloped Frames Template. The curves of the template contrast nicely against the angles of the patterned paper! Add a fun and fuzzy texture–the powder blue Suede Paper–and you’ve got a fabulous look! As always, don’t forget to take a peek at this week’s savings bundle to grab some of these great items!

Items used that are not in the bundle: Geometric Ribbon Set, Silver Stickles, Heart to Heart Stamp Set, Jet Black Stazon.

Anniversary Picnic Card

Anniversary Picnic Card

Hi everyone! Today I’m showing an anniversary card in honor of Felix and my first anniversary which was on Sunday! Wow, how the time has flown! And our little Gabriel is nearly 4 weeks old. The Picnic Paper Pack has a fun summery, country look, and the Picnic Die-Cuts are a perfect match. This card has a lot of sparkle to it too, thanks to the Red Fireworks and Silver Fireworks holographic papers, and the Blue Jewel Border Dazzles! Whew, that’s a lot of bling, but as you’ll notice on the card, used in small amounts, it makes the card look extra special. I also think Independence Day when I see the color scheme on here, or a summer birthday would be perfect.

Items I used that are not in the bundle: Just a Little Greeting Stamp Set, Versamark inkpad, White Super Fine Embossing Powder, heat embossing tool, 2×2 acrylic block, Jet Black Stazon inkpad, foam tape, blank white card, Retractable Craft Knife, 18×24 Cutting Mat.

Serendipity Flowers Card

This week’s card features a fun and pretty new stamp set, Serendipity Flowers. It is also a quick and easy card–great for doing in batches to add to your greeting card stash! I love the look of the new stamps as well as the texture of the velvety soft suede papers. I hope you enjoy!
Items I used that are not in the savings bundle: Corner Chomper, Blackberry Fluid Chalk inkpad (no longer available on Paper Wishes, but Wisteria is a good substitute!), 15 Lovely Labels Template, White Liquid Pearls, White Stazon inkpad.

Father’s Day Card

Father's Day Card

Father’s Day is June 16th, so I’m getting a head start! This card is fun and masculine, with a great motorcycle stamp and movable mechanism! This is thanks to Teresa Welch, whose 100 Movable Parts Cards DVD inspired this card. Her “Image Slider” cards on the DVD is what I used as my inspiration. The North Country Paper Pack has a great outdoorsy look which can be used for so many different occasions and recipients. Some items used on the card that aren’t in the bundle are the silver nailheads, Chocolate Brad Pack (for the silver mini brads), and the Timber Brown StaZon inkpad. If you don’t want to make a Father’s Day card, you can turn it into a birthday, congratulations, retirement, etc. Have fun!

P.S. You might notice I have my rings back on–since Gabriel was born (May 15th) I don’t have to worry about swollen fingers from pregnancy anymore! (It turns out they didn’t swell anyway). For a sneak peek at the baby, see the last 5 seconds of last week’s Pinwheel Card video!

Red Velvet Pinwheel Card

Red Velvet Pinwheel Card

A playful pinwheel card is my project for this week. One of my favorite new Hot Off The Press Products are the 6″ x 6″ paper packs–especially Red Velvet! The colors look so classy together, the papers are all double sided, you get 24 of them, and all the prints are cute and petite! What’s not to like? Besides that, I’m using the Playful Pinwheels Template for a fun, dimensional focal for your card. And we can’t forget the bling…it’s like salt or pepper–add to taste! Here I’ve made use of the Black Glitter Jewel Border Dazzles and the Red Jewel Dazzles. For the greetings I’ve used the same stamp set as last week–the Heart to Heart Stamp Set–it’s so versatile! And at the very end of this video, if you’re really good, you get to see a little surprise! I hope you enjoy, and check out the bundle for great savings!

You Are Loved Card

You Are Loved

This card contains some of my favorite color combinations and a new stamp set, Heart to Heart. These 33 stamps have greetings that are all about friendships and relationships, and have a great variety of funny, sentimental, and cute phrases. The Batik Paper Pack is one of my favorites–I love the batik look, and the combination of purples, blues, and greens. The Painted Flowers Die-Cuts are a great value, and make it so easy to whip up a cute card without a lot of fuss. I also use paper tearing in this episode–anyone can do it! I hope you have fun with this one–I love the sparkly Jewel Dazzles!

NOTE–CORRECTION ON THE BUNDLE VIDEO: The Painted Flowers Die-Cuts are actually NOT included in the bundle (sorry!), but can be bought separately here.

The Silver Jewel Dazzles can be found here.

White Lacy Frames Card

White Lacy Frames Card

There’s a mix-and-match feel to the collection of products I’m using this week. The only two items designed to go together are the Botanical Etchings paper pack and ribbon set. The White Lacy Frames & Borders Scrapbooking Dazzles just happen to complement them nicely–as well as the Stitched With Love Foil Papier Tole. I had a little fun using the papier tole in a different way–no foam tape needed here! I hope you like the layering and the different products used on this card. I have a springtime wedding in mind for the occasion, but just fill in the blank to fit your need. Once again, thanks for watching–it’s my 20th episode of Simply Ann!

Flower Silhouettes Card

Flower Silhouettes

This week I’m doing another Mother’s Day card but as always, feel free to change the words to fit whatever occasion you wish! The Friends & Family Dazzles are perfect for any member of your family, and any friend! It even has “Best Friend,” which you see on my card. I think I’ve used the maximum number of roses on my card because I think the new Flower Silhouettes stamps are so beautiful, and so versatile! I love how you can build your own swirls and flourishes from the ones on the stamp set, which I show you in the video. I hope all you mothers out there have a wonderful day on May 12th, and I hope you like this tutorial! I do appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching!

Grapefruit Mother’s Day Card

Grapefruit Card

Okay, it’s finally here! Thanks for your patience as this post got uploaded. This week I’m gearing up for Mother’s Day with a bright and fun Mother’s Day card. The papers I’m using are from the brand new Grapefruit Double Sided Paper Pack, which is super exciting. I love double-sided papers because they give you twice as many options, and work great with folding templates, like the cute Sweet Treat Pockets Template, which I use here. In the Grapefruit Die-Cuts, you get 62 shapes, two each of 31 different designs–you could make so many unique cards with the combination of just the papers and die-cuts. The look of these papers is fresh, fun, and playful–perfect for Mother’s Day, birthdays, any day!

Gold Ferns Card

Gold Ferns Card

Hi everyone,
So sorry this is a bit late–it’s been a little hectic around here! But no matter…
This week I’ve got a nature-inspired card, and although it’s a different look for me, I’ve grown to like it a lot! I used the new Ferns Gold Color Me Card Toppers, which are so fun and so versatile. The Gold Ferns Dazzles go with it so well, it’s like they were made to be used together! I used a cut-out window technique on this card, which I hope you enjoy. I also used a painting technique for coloring the Gold Color Me Card Topper, so get ready to have some artistic fun! Thanks again for watching, and please enjoy your bundle of savings!
